Custom Instructions

Custom instructions let you give specific directions to the writing agent. This is one of the most powerful settings in Machined — you can provide personal insights on the topic or fine-tune exactly what the agent produces.

Examples​

  • "Mention our brand..."
  • "Include 5 sections in the listicle"
  • "Use bold to emphasize importance"
  • "Add an FAQ with 5 questions at the end of the article"
  • "Include a table in each section highlighting the steps and gotchas"

Note: The agent will follow your instructions in most cases, but remember that they are one part of the overall writing process. Some directions may not be applied, especially if they conflict with the underlying content type instructions.
