Image providers
Machined.ai supports five image providers: two stock photo sources and three AI image generators.
Stock photos
Stock photos are available on every plan, with no API key required.

Stock photos can only be used for the featured image. Machined searches for a suitable photo based on your article, and credits the photographer automatically. For images in the article body, choose an AI provider.
AI image generators
AI providers generate images from a prompt based on your article content and your chosen image style.

On a hosted plan, every AI provider is included: there's nothing to set up.
On the BYOK plan, each provider needs a matching API key in Settings → API keys:

If a provider isn't available to your workspace, it's marked (unavailable) in the provider list, with a Get access to more providers link.
