Publishing to WordPress

Once you've connected your WordPress site, you can publish articles directly from Machined.ai.

Publishing an article​

  1. Open a written article in the editor and click Publish in the bar above the article. From a cluster, you can also open the article's menu and click Publish article.
  2. If your project has more than one destination, choose your WordPress site.
  3. Choose a publish status and any other options, then click Publish.

Publish status options​

  • Publish live: published immediately and publicly visible
  • Save as draft: saved to WordPress as a draft, not publicly visible

Category and tags​

Choose one or more Category and Tags for the post. They're loaded from your WordPress site. If they can't be loaded, you can still publish and add them in WordPress afterwards.

If your posts don't live at the root of your site (for example, they're at https://your-site.com/blog/post-name), enter the path in Internal-link path prefix, such as /blog/. Machined adds it to internal links in the article so they point to the right URLs.

Make sure it matches your WordPress permalink structure, otherwise the rewritten links won't work. Leave it empty if your posts live at the site root.

Publishing in bulk​

Open a cluster, select the articles using the checkboxes, and click Publish (n). Choose your WordPress site and options. All selected articles that are ready to publish will be sent, with your chosen categories and tags.

Updating or re-sending an article​

Once published, an article shows Republish and Unpublish. Republish updates the existing WordPress post with your latest changes; Unpublish lets you publish it again as a new post. An article can only be published to one CMS connection at a time. See Republishing and unpublishing.
